Who Is the Favorite to Win the Euro 2024 Final?

Can’t predict the beautiful game? This analysis dives into Euro 2024, covering favorites, match-ups, and betting tips to help you navigate the championship.

England cemented their spot in the 2024 Euro Championship thanks to a 90th minute goal by substitute Ollie Watkins. They will take on Spain, the current favorite, July 14th at 3pm EST.

We cover betting odds & favorites, insights on each contender, and some of our favorites bets.

Which Team Is Favourite to Win Euro 2024?

The opening lines (via ESPNBet) have Spain as a slight favorite.

This isn’t too much of a surprise, based on the fact that this England team hasn’t lived up to the hype, and Spain have thoroughly handled each opponent they’ve faced.

Vegas likes 2 goals or less in this game. Both England and Spain haven’t allowed more than 1 goal per match this entire tournament, with Spain conceding a total of only 3.

English lost a penalty shootout to Italy in the 2020 Euro Championship.

Lamine Yamal is Really Good…

Lamine Yamal has been nothing short of insanity in this tournament. He has surpassed two longstanding records from Pele: youngest goalscorer at a Euros or World Cup and youngest player in a semi-final in either tournament. It’s a big question whether or not he’ll be able to keep his current form for the championship game.

Good news for Spain’s defense — Robin Le Normand and Dani Carvajal are both back from being suspended and ready to play in Sunday’s final. With these guys back in the lineup, Spain is stacked with speed, skill, and leadership.

England Gassed but Resilient

For a team that has gone the length in 2 of their last 3 matches, England managed to hold off Netherlands despite a coach that rarely goes to the bench.

As much as we’ve talked up this Spain team, England isn’t far behind with the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Bukayo Saka. While England has yet to win the Euros, they got a bittersweet taste losing to Italy in penalties.

They’ll be locked in and ready to go when the time comes.

Extra note of caution on player props, as the lineups for Sunday’s match likely won’t come out until the day of.

2024 Euro Championship: Who Will Win?

While it may take more than 90 minutes, Spain is going to win this game. They’ve shown without a doubt that they mean business, and they aren’t slowing down at all.

This England team has fought tooth and nail the entire tournament. But there are signs of wear and tear, which is completely understandable based on how much time they’ve spent on the pitch.

While Spain in Regular Time at +145 is tempting, I’ll stick with Spain To Lift the Trophy at -150 (3). England have shown they can hang late in games, but it won’t be enough to overtake Spain.

2024 Euro Championship: Who Will Score?

First off, here’s a list of the odds for some of the top players on both sides.

Lines may shift until kick off.

  • Harry Kane +225

  • Alvaro Morata +250

  • Mato Joselu +300

  • Ferran Torres +333

  • Ivan Toney +333

  • Mikel Oyarzabal +333

  • Ayoze Perez +350

  • Dani Olmo +350

  • Lamine Yamal +350

  • Ollie Watkins +375

  • Phil Foden +400

  • Jude Bellingham +450

  • Nico Williams +450

  • Bukayo Saka +500

Kane and Morata being the two favorites is no surprise, and the high 200’s is about the expected value.

It’s important to note that Morata has only 1 goal so far. Dani Olmo leads the team with 3, followed by Fabian Ruiz with 2.

With so many weapons on the Spanish side, it’s hard to pick out just one potential goalscorer. We’d hold off on taking Morata to score, simply because he hasn’t shown much production.

On the flip side, Olmo has shown sparks throughout the tournament, getting plenty of opportunities in each game. It’s too hard to pass up an Olmo Anytime Goal at +350 (2).

It’s hard not to note the potential value of Nico Williams at +450 (1). His speed on the edge will be trouble for England, especially with the extra attention needed for a red-hot Yamal on the opposite side.
