ANOTHER College Betting Violation, Weekly Bets, and This Week in Sports Betting
In This Issue:
Community Cappers Lock In Their Weekly Picks
Last Week: 1-1 | -0.17u
Tim Hardaway Jr. u11.5 Points (-120) ✅ / The UNDERground Lab
Giannis Antetokounmpo u6.5 Assists (-110) ❌ / Nuke Bets
2025 Record: 25-25 | +1.32u ⚖️
The Tigers are rolling out 5/9 lefties tonight.
They haven’t been chasing lately and if they can get ahead of Blanco’s changeup and fastball (pitched well out of the zone) and who also doesn’t throw many 1st pitch strikes, then it’s going to be a long day for him as he does not pitch against lefties.
Give us the UNDER!
By contrast, Cincinnati is 15–13 this season—and 12 of those wins have come by at least two runs.
Now healthier than they’ve been all year, the Reds kick off a four-game home series against their division rivals.
They’ll face Michael Pallante, the fifth starter on a rotation that ranks in baseball’s bottom third.
With Cincinnati priced as a modest –114 favorite, that +162 juice on the -1.5 spread is a terrific value on this Reds squad.
Betting Violations Keep Stacking Up
Former Baylor University athletic official Sam Hancock has been sanctioned by the NCAA for placing nearly 3,000 impermissible fantasy bets over five years, including 113 wagers involving Baylor teams and student-athletes.

Hancock, who served as director of resource development at the Big 12 school, placed $45,979 worth of bets across three sports betting platforms between July 2019 and September 2024.
That’s an average of $15.33 per bet, and roughly 48 bets per month
The university promptly self-reported the violations after confirming the activity through an interview with Hancock.
Under the show-cause penalty, which runs through April 2027, any NCAA institution that hires Hancock must require him to:
Seek and participate in gambling counseling
Attend the annual NCAA regional rules seminar at his own expense
Serve a two-week suspension during his first year of employment
This penalty is in line with updated NCAA rules from October 2024 that allow for different handling of sports betting violations that don't compromise game integrity or involve institutional oversight failures.

NCAA’s Gambling "Reminder"
Big Takeaway: Even fantasy betting tied to college sports can trigger major NCAA penalties — and schools aren’t taking chances on violations they uncover.
The Bottom Line
This isn’t the first violation we’ve seen in sports, and it certainly won’t be the last.
But why should you care?
☝️ Fantasy Betting = Sports Betting (In the NCAA’s Eyes)
🕵 If you're connected to college athletics in any way, your DFS/sportsbook accounts are being monitored
✂️ College props and DFS are going to be the first to get clipped - Be ready for lighter college menus
