However, I like this matchup for him to get it going again.
Against lefties away from home, the Mariners tend to bat for power and fly balls.
It makes sense though since T-Mobile isn’t really a hitter friendly park for them.
Suarez, however, has an elite GB%, barrel %, and hard hit %
All of those don’t really bode well with the Mariners game plan.
With Suarez looking to put the ball in play and the Phillies having one of the best fielding groups in the league; let’s also highlight that Suarez’ median for this line is 1, I think we have a shot here for Suarez to bring these Mariners down a bit.

The Reds and Angels face off for the first time in 2025, and this series should be all Cincinnati.
Starting this season off in a disappointing manner, the Reds have picked it up since the All-Star break against better teams than the Angels.
Look for Singer the give the Reds plenty of breathing room in the first 7, with Elly De La Cruz and Noelvi Marte staying hot.
Gausman is a FB pitcher who thrives against these types of hitters as he’ll mix it up between his four seamer/splitter to throw off their balance.
I think there’s a lot of value here even though it’s a little juicy as the total run line for this game is 6.5
Gausman boasts an elite run value for his stuff and he would have to completely get shelled here for the Pirates to gets runs on him.
I simply don’t think their offense has the ability to do that, especially at PNC park known to be pitcher friendly.
Give us the UNDER!
Louisiana Colleges Are Now Cashing In on Sports Betting Taxes
Snapshot (Aug. 18, 2025): A new Louisiana law is routing a slice of sports betting revenue straight to college athletics.
HB 639 (Rep. Neil Riser) signed by Gov. Jeff Landry in June, effective as of Aug. 1.
Tax change: Mobile/online sports betting tax jumps 15% → 21.5%.
25% of all sports betting tax revenue (including retail) now funds the Supporting Programs, Opportunities, Resources and Teams (SPORT) fund.
This entails equal distributions to 11 public universities with Division I football in Louisiana (including LSU and Southern).
Why it’s structured this way: Boost resources for student-athletes without violating revenue-sharing or NIL rules; not directly tied to House v. NCAA.
For bettors: Higher operator tax load could mean tweaks to promos, pricing, or hold during football season - it’s worth monitoring in the LA market and other markets looking to bring in more tax revenue in the future.
